Police helicopter involved in search for missing Scot Steven Morrison as concerns grow

A police helicopter is involved in the search for a 38-year-old man missing from Ayr.

Steven Morrison was last seen by family at around 9pm on Saturday, November 6 in Westwood Avenue and was reported missing after he failed to return home.

He is described by officers as white and around 5 ft 8 inches in height, with brown hair and a medium build.

It’s not known what clothes he is wearing.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Steven, with officers reviewing CCTV footage and using a police helicopter to carry out a search for him.

However, attempts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Sergeant Martin Fraser said: “Steven’s family is growing increasingly concerned for his well-being and they just want him home safe and well.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Steven or who has any information as to where he might be to contact us.”

Anyone with information regarding Steven or his whereabouts is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1235 of November 7.
