A police helicopter has captured the moment a missing hillwalker was traced at a Scots loch.
Air units were drafted in to aid officers on the ground after the hiker was reported missing at Loch Awe today. Teams from Scottish Mountain Rescue also took part in the search operation, before the missing person was located at around 5pm.
Officers were able to find the trekker by using thermal equipment.

A statement from Police Scotland 's Air Unit reads: "@AButeWDunbarPol with a missing walker near to Loch Awe. Missing person located using thermal imaging camera and local mountain rescue directed to their location."
