Police helicopter and mountain rescue join search for missing 33-year-old man in Haverfordwest

Police searched for a man after he went missing from a hospital.

Gareth Howlett was captured by CCTV cameras leaving Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest at about 1pm on Saturday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the 33-year-old was wearing a dark hoody with white arms and a white panel across the shoulders, dark khaki trousers with a cream stripe down each leg, and dark trainers.

Mr Howlett is described as being white, 5ft 6in, slim build, with ginger/brown hair. He also has a tattoo of a sword on his forearm and a Man Utd tattoo on the back of his neck.

A force spokesperson said Mr Howlett's hair is now longer that the photo that have supplied and his skin appears to be very pale.

CCTV footage shows that Mr Howlett walked past the hospital’s Bro Cerwen entrance, but it is believed he veered off the main road before reaching the Fishguard Road roundabout.

Officers said a police search adviser is leading enquiries with the National Police Air Service and mountain rescue.

Dyfed-Powys Police said on Twitter: "Concern is increasing as Gareth has epilepsy and hasn't taken his medication.

"A police search adviser is leading enquiries with local officers, NPAS and mountain rescue."

UPDATE: Dyfed Powys Police confirmed on Tuesday morning that Mr Howlett has been found
