Police have this cheeky message for 'green fingered' growers after £100,000 cannabis seizure

Police have published a cheeky message to cannabis growers after £100,000 worth of plants were seized in Audenshaw.

Officers invited the owners to 'come and make an appointment at the police station' after the drugs were found at an address on Denton Road on Tuesday.

The force posted about it on the GMP Tameside South Facebook page at 7pm on Wednesday.

They said the street value of the haul is around £100,000.

The drugs bust was carried out by the Droylsden East Team, with the help of the Denton North East and Denton South teams.

In the Facebook status, officers wrote: "If the green fingered person(s) will like to claim their "GROW" back feel free to come and make an appointment at the police station with your green fingered friends to speak to officers, you may want to pack an overnight bag."
