Police have 'reason to be concerned' for Barrhead man missing since this morning

Police have issued an appeal to help trace a man reported missing from his home this morning (Monday).

Thomas Kennedy, 46, was last seen around 7.15am on Monday, September 16 in the Blackbyres Road area of Barrhead.

Sergeant Graeme Waite, of Giffnock Police Station, say officers have “reason to be concerned for his welfare”.

He said: “Thomas was last seen leaving his home address on foot this morning and may have headed in the direction of Glasgow Road.

"We have reason to be concerned for his welfare so would urge anyone with information which could help trace him to come forward as soon as they can.”

Thomas is 5ft9, of muscled build and has grey hair and a goatee beard. He was last seen wearing a black zipped top, black jogging bottoms and boots.

Anyone with information that might help trace him is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 536 of September 16."
