Police have now ruled out murder a year on from the death of a man in Prestwich

Police have closed a murder investigation and now say the death of a man in Prestwich eleven months ago was not suspicious.

An investigation was launched after the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was discovered at a property on Warwick Street on Friday, January 25.

A 38-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file will be passed to the coroner.
