Police do not have any lines of enquiry into a fire at a former pub site in Lockleaze.
Emergency services were called at about 8.30pm on June 27 to battle a blaze at the derelict one-time home of the Gainsborough, in Gainsborough Square.
Police are treating the incident as suspicious and arrested a man on suspicion of arson, but he has since been released without charge.
An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: "An initial investigation has been carried out but there are no lines of enquiry unless anyone has any information."
The Gainsborough pub, formerly known as the Blue Boy, closed down in 2011.
A petition was launched last year for Bristol City Council to take over the disused site. Petitioners described it as “an eyesore and a barrier to investment in the area”.
Pictures show the roof has been destroyed and significant damage to other parts of the site.
An Avon Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Crews from Temple, Patchway, Southmead, Kingswood , Avonmouth and Bedminster fire stations were called to a fire in the roof of a derelict pub.
“On arrival, firefighters used four breathing apparatus for safety and two high pressure hose reels and two 45mm jets to extinguish the fire.
“They also used a turntable ladder to monitor the situation and thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
“Once the fire was extinguished Urban Search and Rescue Dog Sally was deployed to search the building alongside a police victim recovery dog.
“Both dogs confirmed the building was clear and all persons were accounted for. The cause is currently unknown.”
