Police have been guarding a Kilmarnock shop while an investigation gets underway in the town centre.
Officers have been seen at the beauty salon ABC Unisex on Portland Street for more than 24 hours now.
A police van has been stationed at the back of the premises.
Shoppers and businesses have reported smelling a strong cannabis odour in the air around the town centre.
Officials say that there is no danger or threat to the public.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers are currently carrying out an investigation at an address on Portland Street in Kilmarnock.
"There is no further information at this time and there is no danger or any threat to the general public."
