Police guard Harehills Lane after man and woman attacked by gang armed with weapons

Two people have been injured after being attacked by a "group of people with weapons" in Harehills.

Emergency services were called to Harehills Lane at 4.05pm today, October 13.

Upon arrival police, including armed officers, found an injured man and woman.

The woman suffered minor injuries and the man suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to Harehills Lane today at 4.05pm to reports of a group of people with weapons.

"Officers including armed officers attended and found two people (a man and a woman) who had been injured.

"The woman suffered minor injuries and the male suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening."

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1138 of today.
