Police have confirmed that a missing Washington man has been found 'safe and well'.

Police officers were growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of the man last seen on Monday morning.

William Seabrook was last seen leaving a home in the Crindledykes area of Washington at 10.30am.

Mr Seabrook, 71, is described as around 5’6 tall, of stocky build with white short shaven hair.

Police said he was last seen wearing a pair of Levi jeans.

Mr Seabrook also wears glasses.

He has not been heard from him since Monday morning and police have said they are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace Mr Seabrook but officers leading the search are now appealing for the public to come forward with information.

Anyone who believes they have seen Mr Seabrook, or a man matching his description, has been asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 446 150321 as soon as possible.
