Police grow concerned for welfare of missing 71-year-old

Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police have issued an appeal asking for help to locate a missing 71-year-old man. Charles, from Hay on Wye, was last seen on July 18 at his home.

He has been described as 6ft 2in, with grey hair and is tanned. He is potentially wearing a loose shirt and baggy trousers after being missing since Monday evening.

Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police posted a tweet on Twitter at 11.34 yesterday (July 19) which read: "#MISSING | Can you help us find 71 year old Charles from Hay on Wye? He was last seen yesterday evening (Monday July 18) at his home address. He's described as approx 6ft 2in tall, with grey hair, tanned, and is possibly wearing a loose shirt and baggy trousers.

"Have you seen Charles, or do you have info that might help us find him? Please, let us know: https://orlo.uk/ddDTj | 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk | 101 Quote reference: DP-20220719-146. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908."

When you believe a person in your life has disappeared, it's important to act quickly to set a search in motion. Start by calling the police department to file a missing persons report, then take measures to conduct your own search.

If you are extremely concerned for the welfare of the person then dial 999 and ask for the police.
