Police give update on stabbing victim who was knifed 'multiple times'

A man was knifed ‘multiple times’ in a stabbing in Bolton last night.

Officers were called to Rankine Terrace near the Manchester Superstore shortly after 9pm on Monday (December 7).

Police say three men approached a 31-year-old man before one of them stabbed him multiple times.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Photos taken last night showed a large police presence around the store.

Part of the road was taped off (ASP)

A police cordon was erected on Cannot Street and an area near the St Paul with Emmanuel Church centre.

An eye witness described seeing an ambulance led by a police escort leaving the scene.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesman for GMP confirmed.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2633 of 07/12/20. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
