Police give update on Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend after horror crash

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend remains in a "critical condition" after he was hit by a car. A member of Nat Eddleston's family reportedly confirmed their loved one had needed the help of a life support machine following the horror collision on Friday night.

They added that Nat, who is in his 30s, has suffered a broken neck, two collapsed lungs, a broken back and suspected brain damage. The Sun reported that Ellie has been left "overwhelmed" after he was rushed to intensive care after suffering a number of injuries following the accident in Leeds.

Nat is understood to have been hit by a white Seat Leon travelling out of the city just after midnight, according to reports. West Yorkshire Police confirmed the road was cordoned off by officers on Saturday morning, and have issued an update on Nat's condition.

The force confirmed: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."

The incident has shaken Gogglebox fans who have followed Nat and Ellie's relationship for a number of years, reports Leeds Live. Ellie often speaks about her boyfriend on the Channel Four show and The Sun reports she is now said to be "fearful" that her partner has suffered brain damage.

Ellie's fans rushed to show love for her and Nat. One said: "We are all thinking of you Nat, everything crossed & wishing you a speedy recovery, hugs 2 u all luv from us all." Another wrote: "Just read about this, my thoughts are with Ellie and her family. Fingers crossed all is well with her partner and that he makes a speedy recovery."

"So sorry to hear this sending love and hope he pulls through you are in my prayers," a third commented. While another posted: "Oh this is so sad and heartbreaking. My thoughts are with you and your families. Hope Nat pulls through and makes a good recovery."
