A Greenbank man who admitted having cannabis and criminal property has been jailed.

Drugs penalties: The fines and prison sentences

The recorder Mr Stead jailed him for 17 weeks.

He told Talbert-Young: "You are 21 and you have a range of previous convictions, which is just going to lead your to spending more time in prison if you carry on offending."

Ramin Pakrooh, prosecuting, said police who searched Talbert-Young's bedroom found a total of 60g of cannabis.

He was also found with £1,874 cash, Bristol Crown Court heard.

The court was told the defendant had previously been sent to youth custody for supply and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Roy Headlam, defending, urged the judge to allow maximum credit for his client's early guilty plea.
