Police, fire and ambulance services respond to incident by River Clyde

Police, fire and ambulance services have been spotted at the River Clyde in response to an incident.

The emergency services are currently at Clyde Street, in Glasgow city centre.

Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment, and the incident is understood to be a police matter.

Photos show fire engines and an ambulance parked up on the river side of Clyde Street.

UPDATE: Police have since confirmed to Glasgow Live the incident has been stood down, and was deemed a 'false alarm' after earlier reports of something of concern being spotted in the river:
