Emergency services scrambled to the scene of a domestic incident after a burning bag was spotted in front of a house.
Police, fire and the ambulance service all sent screws to the scene in High Park Road, Southport , just before 8am this morning.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed the burning bag was full of clothes and said the fire was believed to be part of a "domestic related incident".
Forensic officers were also spotted at the scene earlier today
Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a community specialist paramedic were sent to the scene by North West Ambulance Service.
They were called to the incident at 7.08am and left after nearly four hours at the scene.
Two fire crews also attended.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are investigating after a report of a domestic-related incident in Southport this morning (Wednesday 12 June 2019).
"A report was received at 7.55am that a bag of clothes had been set alight on High Park Road.
"It is believed the clothes had partially burned, but the fire had gone out before the attendance of emergency services.
"Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service attended.
"No one has been reported as being injured during the incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. "
