A man and a woman have been arrested after police found thousands of pounds worth of Spice during a house raid.
Police executed a warrant at house in north Manchester on Friday, June 26.
They seized a large amount of suspected Spice, thought to be worth tens of thousands of pounds.
They also found a quantity of suspected class A drugs and seized several thousands of pounds in cash.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, while a 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
They both remain in police custody for questioning.
Inspector Jon Shilvock, of GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “This warrant was executed by Operation Orion –a dedicated team of officers based in the city centre who investigate serious crime linked to Manchester City Centre itself.
“These officers carry out surveillance and gather intelligence to identify anyone who might be involved in serious crime in order to take appropriate action to bring offenders to justice and protect members of the public.
“Today’s seizures will hopefully significantly reduce the supply of drugs coming in to the city centre.”
