Police find 'stolen' motorbike 'hidden' under log

Police seized a motorbike believed to be stolen after it was stashed under a log.

Officers were alerted on Sunday afternoon, April 16, that a group of teenagers were riding a suspected stolen motorcycle in the Parr area. They made their way through Bold Moss in search of the group.

Police said that, following the tyre tracks, officers were able to follow the trail.

The bike was located a short time later, with officers alleging that the youths had attempted to "hide" the bike under some logs. In a tongue-in-cheek Facebook post, police in St Helens said: "Look at the state of that. Poor effort

"Sometimes we just can't help but laugh. Who hides a motorbike under a log? The motorcycle was recovered and efforts will be made to trace the owner.

"This isn't a trick. There is definitely a motorbike in the photo. See if you can spot it."
