Police find nearly £500,000 worth of 'heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis' during raid of Scots property

Police have recovered nearly half a million pounds worth of drugs during a raid in Edinburgh.

Officers with a warrant swooped on a property in Sciennes, near the Meadows, at around 10.40am on Wednesday, October 6.

Drugs believed to be heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis were found with an estimated street value of £445,900.

Three men - aged 19, 24 and 26 - have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They were due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 7.

Detective Inspector George Calder, based at Corstorphine, said: "Removing almost half a million pounds worth of drugs from our streets is a positive for the community and surrounding areas.

"Anyone who has any information about drug crime in their area should contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
