Police find 'large quantity of cannabis' ready for sale at house in Bolton

Police found a "large quantity of cannabis" during a raid at a house in Bolton.

Officers believe the stash, found at a home in Chorley Old Road, was set to be sold on the street.

The Doffcocker property was raided this morning as part of an investigation into drug dealing in the area.

Posting on Facebook an officer from GMP's Bolton West team said they had found the tools to package and distribute the cannabis and thanked the public for providing information.

"The occupant wasn't home to let us in but that didn't stop us entering," they said.

"Once inside we found a large quantity of cannabis and what we believe was a setup for packaging drugs for street deals.

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the occupant of the address.

"We could not take action like this without the information you the public provide - thank you."
