A tweet from the Avon and Somerset Police Bristol account reads: "Hartcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Teams have recovered knives as well as other weapons during a weapon sweep in Hartcliffe.

"If you have any concerns about an issue in your area, feel free to get in touch."

Operation Spectre launched across the UK yesterday and will see police forces across the country running campaigns and engaging in activities such as weapons sweeps in an effort to tackle knife crime.

Bristol has seen multiple stabbings in recent weeks, including outside of a Clifton nightclub where four people were stabbed, and in east Bristol where 18-year-old Dontae Davis died after being stabbed.
