Police find huge cannabis farm with 356 plants inside five-bed home in Bolton

A man has been arrested after hundreds of cannabis plants were discovered at a home in Bolton.

Officers executed a warrant at a five-bedroom detached house in Junction Road, in Deane, on Wednesday.

Inside, they found 356 plants at various stages of growth, along with lighting, ventilation and irrigation equipment.

Sharing the news on Facebook, officers revealed that nearly every room in the house had been converted to grow drugs.

More than 350 plants were discovered inside the five-bedroom detached house (GMP Bolton North)

They have arrested a man, who remains in custody and is being quizzed by police.

The post, from GMP Bolton North, read: "Officers from #Bolton intelligence unit supported by #BoltonWest neighbourhood team and student officer tutor unit executed a warrant at a house on Junction Road in #Deane.

"Inside the 5 bedroom detached house 356 plants were found at various stages of growth along with lighting, venitilation and irrigation equipment.

"Nearly every room in the house had been converted to grow drugs.

"A male adult has been arrested and remains in custody for interview.

"Investigations will continue once staff complete the mammoth task of dismantling this farm."
