A driver was found 'five times over the drink limit' at the scene of Scots multi car smash.
'Extensive damage' was caused after two cars crashed on the A725 in Bellshill last night.
One driver allegedly gave a breath test reading of 105 when the limit is 22.
The busy road was shut down while officers probed the scene.
No one was injured.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Lanarkshire road police attended a two vehicle road traffic crash blocking the A725 at Bellshill earlier.
"One driver gave a breath test reading of 105.
"The limit is 22.
"No injuries, extensive damage to cars and inconvenience to others.
"Driver arrested and reported."
