Police find cannabis farm after raiding house looking for wanted man

Two people have been arrested after a cannabis farm was uncovered in Stockport.

The discovery was made after officers raided a house on Hall Street in Offerton looking for a wanted man.

It is not known at this stage how big the farm is, however it was described by police as 'high tech'.

A woman and man - understood to be the wanted male - were arrested at the scene.

They remain in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesman for GMP said: "At 10.50am this morning (Tuesday), police executed a warrant at an address on Hall Street in Offerton looking for a wanted man.

"A high tech cannabis farm was discovered at the address.

"A man and a woman were arrested at the scene and remain in custody.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
