Police find cannabis factory in Cimla house

A cannabis factory was discovered at a house in Neath over the weekend.

South Wales Police  officers attended the address in Dan Y Graig Road in Cimla on the morning of Sunday, October 18 where 290 plants were recovered.

There was several reports of a high police presence on social media from residents in the area.

South Wales Police made the public aware of the incident on Twitter.

The force said: "Police activity Dan Y Graig Road Cimla.

"Neath Neighbourhood Policing Team are conducting another drugs warrant. A cannabis factory has been located. Enquiries are ongoing."

South Wales Police later added: "Neath NPT have just conducted a successful warrant in Neath & we have discovered a cannabis factory in a property in the Cimla."

Police confirmed on Monday morning that no arrests have been made yet.

"Around 290 plants were recovered and our enquiries are ongoing," a spokeswoman for the force said.
