Police find abandoned car flipped on its side in Bilborough

Police officers on patrol in Nottingham came across a car which had been abandoned in the middle of a road after being flipped on its side.

Aspley Police says the vehicle, which was found in Princess Boulevard overnight between October 24 - 25, had allegedly been stolen before the incident.

Princess Boulevard, in Bilborough, lies just off Woodhouse Way north-west of the city centre.

The vehicle had also gone through a bollard after tipping on its side.

Nottinghamshire Police says it is appealing for information on the incident.

A spokesman for Aspley Police, posting on Twitter, said: "When doing handbrake turns in a stolen vehicle goes wrong.

"If you have any information relating to this incident on Princess Boulevard last night please call 101 and quote incident 798_24102020."
