Police find 20 bags of coke in tupperware box after stopping car in Livingston

Traffic police discovered 20 bags of cocaine inside a tupperware box after stopping a car in Livingston.

Officers from the Edinburgh division stopped a driver and noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a drugs test.

The motorist was found to have drugs in their system, and cocaine with a street value of £1000 was recovered.

Road police shared an image of the 20 bags of cocaine with a tupperware box which was found during the search, and the driver's positive drug test.

The driver has now been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A tweet from Police Scotland read: "Edinburgh Road Police stopped a vehicle in Livingston.

"Familiar smell of cannabis from within the vehicle, so the driver was subject to a search and drug wipe.

"One positive drug wipe later & up to £1000 worth of cocaine later. The driver has been reported to Procurator Fiscal."
