The plants have been destroyed and enquiries are underway.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) shared images of the plants on Facebook and wrote: "Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a search warrant at an address on Hillfield Drive, Tonge Moor, earlier today.

"Inside the address officers found four rooms that had been converted to grow cannabis. In total 165 cannabis plants were found in the address.
