Following the raid, officers took to GMP's Bury South Facebook page to let residents in the area know.

In a post on the page, a GMP spokesperson said: "As part of our ongoing crackdown against organised crime in Bury South we have seized 147 cannabis plants & £10,000+ pounds worth of equipment used in cultivation of cannabis at a property in Prestwich.

"If you grow we will show."

Officers included pictures of the items found at the home.

Residents in Prestwich reported seeing a number of police cars at a house on St Ann's Road, near Prestwich Clough, this morning.
