Man reunited with family after spending night 'lost' in crocodile-infested creek in Cairns

Water police, a helicopter, SES and wildlife rangers were involved in the search.

A man who sparked a search after failing to return from a crocodile-infested creek in suburban Cairns in far north Queensland, has been reunited with his family.

Earlier today, a major search was launched for the 60-year-old man, with water police, a helicopter, SES and wildlife rangers scouring an area near Chinaman Creek in the suburb of Portsmith.

The area is a known crocodile habitat.
