Police have set up a second crime scene in Werrington, half a kilometre from where a woman’s body was found in a reserve on Sunday.
According to the ABC, police have been searching the ground floor of a block of units on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, while detectives were seen door-knocking around nearby properties.
The second search comes after a woman, who has been described as “potentially middle-aged”, was found partially clothed and lying face down in the bushland reserve. She is yet to be formally identified.

At around 1.15pm on Sunday, police were called to a bushland reserve off Irwin Street where they found the woman’s remains.
According to Police Superintendent Trent King, the woman’s body had been there for “a period of time”.
The woman’s death is currently being investigated by the homicide squad and the missing persons unit under the name Strike Force Dowerin.
“We’re hoping, certainly in the next couple of days, through both the post-mortem examination as well as the examination today, that we will have further information,” Superintendent King told reporters on Sunday, noting that it was too early to tell whether the body showed signs of injury or sexual assault.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
