Police investigations are continuing following reports of a shooting on the Central Coast on Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 6.30am, Tuggerah Lakes Police District officers were called to Emu Drive, San Remo, following reports of an incident.

Neighbours reported hearing two loud bangs.

"It's too close for comfort, that's all I can say," one resident said.

The resident added that - when the bangs occurred - a witness reported seeing two vehicles on the road outside a house, which police were now examining.

Another resident said: "It was a drive-by shooting".

Another resident said bullets were fired at a parked car.

On arrival, police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

According to NSW Police, there are no reported injuries associated with the incident.

At 11am, Wednesday, Emu Drive was still closed between Goorama Avenue and Yaruga Avenue.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online
