Police ‘especially concerned’ about elderly man reported missing in heatwave

Police have issued an urgent appeal to help find an elderly man reported missing in Trafford.

77-year-old Michael was last seen in the Davyhulme area this morning (July 19). Police said he does not have a mobile phone on him and can get easily confused.

Officers said they are ‘especially concerned’ about his welfare due to the heat today.

At the time of his disappearance, Michael was wearing a striped shirt and green chinos. He is described as having a slim build and is approximately 5ft 10in tall.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Help us find Michael who went missing from Davyhulme, Trafford at some point this morning. Michael does not have his phone or wallet with him and is unsteady on his feet.

Police have launched an appeal to find Michael, 77, who was last seen in Davyhulme on Tuesday (July 19) (GMP)

“He can get easily confused and we are especially concerned due to the heat outside today.”
