Police dog catches one of Greater Manchester's most wanted people

A police dog has helped to catch one of Greater Manchester's most wanted people.

Police Dog Mel and her canine colleague Police Dog Draco were out and about in Trafford on Friday night (October 24).

Mel managed to find an "offender" who was hiding in a yard.

Greater Manchester Police say the person is suspected of being responsible for a violent assault.

Meanwhile, PD Draco managed to locate one of the police force's most wanted people - who is suspected of carrying out seven burglaries and car thefts.

Officers from GMP Trafford South posted details of the two incidents on Facebook.

They wrote: "PD Mel & PD Draco were in action last night

"PD Mel located an offender hiding in a yard responsible for a violent assault & PD Draco was on hand to locate one of GMP’s most wanted. Offender wanted x7 for burglary & car thefts".
