Police divers and drones involved in huge search for missing man

Police divers and drones are being used in a search for a man who has gone missing in Pembrokeshire. The huge search was launched by Dyfed-Powys Police on Monday morning in the Pembroke Dock area.

The force said that Jai (no surname given), a man in his early 40s, went missing from the Hobbs Point area, which has become the focus of the search. He is described as being 5ft 8ins tall, bald and of slim build. When he was last seen, it is believed he was wearing grey work trousers with a number of black pockets and a grey Superdry hoodie. The search on Monday involved Dyfed-Powys Police’s specialist search team and marine unit, as well as a dive team from South Wales Police and the UK Coastguard. Due to poor lighting, the search was stood down at 9pm on Monday but resumed at 9am on Tuesday, with a police drone being used in the operation.

Police are appealing for any members of the public with any information to come forward. A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are appealing for information to help us find Jai who is missing in the Pembroke Dock area. Have you seen Jai, or do you have info that might help us find him? Please, let us know online, by e-mailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101, quoting reference number DP-20230320-296.”
