Police have uncovered a suspected cannabis farm at a home in Newcastle.
Officers executed a warrant at an address on Moorcroft Close, Lemington, at 3am and found a suspected cannabis farm inside.
A large police presence has been visible on the street throughout the day with a specialist search team deployed as investigations continue at the scene.
The scale of the suspected cannabis growth is currently unknown.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Shortly before 3am today (Tuesday), officers executed a warrant at an address on Moorcroft Close, Newcastle.
“Inside the address, officers located a suspected cannabis farm. Inquiries are ongoing and police remain at the scene.”
