Police discover more than 100 cannabis plants at farm hidden inside Bolton home

Police raiding a home in Bolton have discovered a hidden cannabis farm containing more than 100 plants.

Officers from GMP's Bolton West team searched the property in Calvert Road, Greater Lever, this morning following reports from local residents.

A man was arrested as part of the operation and is currently in custody for questioning.

Police say the farm will now be dismantled, with the plants removed.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesman for the force said: "Officers from Bolton’s Intel Unit have executed a warrant at Calvert Road in Great Lever.

"Inside officers found 110 plants split over four rooms at different stages of growth. Officers also arrested one male adult who was present at the address.

"The male remains in custody for questioning and the hard work of taking down this farm can be carried out.

"We couldn’t carry out this work without the intelligence you the public provide, thank you."

Anyone with further information about possible crimes should contact police on 101.
