Police discover huge cannabis farm with £200k of plants spanning four rooms

Police found £200,000 of cannabis plants at a large farm inside a house in Bury.

Officers targeted a home in Church Street West, Radcliffe, today (April 27) and found the illegal operation inside.

The farm was spread across four rooms and consisted of 280 plants, which have now been seized.

One man was arrested at the property and remains in police custody.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for GMP's Bury South team said: "A Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was carried out today at Church Street West by the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Officers.

"Officers discovered a large cannabis farm across four rooms in the property, the electricity meter was bypassed and abstracting the electricity putting the building and surrounding businesses at a serious fire risk.

"280 plants were seized, plants ranging in size bringing an approximate value of £200,000!!"

"One male was arrested at the property and remains in custody."

Police say the find was worth £200,000. (GMP)

Officers also released a number of images of the inside of the house.

They show white sheets over the walls of the rooms, with heaters above and rows of plants growing in the centre.
