Police discover body of man in Govan flat after 'sudden death'

The body of a man has been found by police in a Govan flat.

Police were called to Rathlin Street around 7.25pm on Tuesday March 23 after concerns were raised.

Officers made the discovery upon entering the property.

While police added there were thought to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 7.25pm on Tuesday, March 23, officers were called to a property on Rathlin Street, Glasgow, following a concern call from a member of the public.

"On arrival officers found the body of a man within the property.

"There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
