Police desperately trying to find family of man who died in the city centre

Police are desperately trying to identify a man who died in Manchester city centre - so they can tell his family.

The coroners' office has released an e-fit of the man who died on Market Street on August 20.

He is believed to be around 50 to 60-years-old.

At the time of his death, the man was wearing black trousers, a blue t-Shirt with a grey shirt over the top and a dark blue gillet.

Greater Manchester Police's city centre team posted on Facebook said: "All lines of enquiry to try and identify the man and inform his family have been exhausted.

"The coroner's office are now appealing to anyone who may recognise him to contact 0161 856 6816 or email PCO.ManchesterCentral@gmp.police.uk"
