A man was arrested after reports a woman had been assaulted.
Merseyside Police said they received a report of an assault in St Helens yesterday (Thursday, November 18) at around 9.30pm.
Detectives confirmed a 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on Parr Stocks Road in Parr.

The man was taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning by detectives where he remains in custody.
Witnesses reported a high police presence in the area with one person saying they saw "a few cop cars, a riot van and about 10 police."
