Police 'deeply concerned' after two young girls - one aged eight - disappear from home overnight

UPDATE: Missing cousins Leah Giles, 12, and Brianna Savage, 8, have been located, police have confirmed.

West Mercia Police Inspector Lee Page said: "We are really very grateful to everyone who shared our appeal earlier today to help find the girls and are pleased to say they have been found safe and well.”

Police are searching for two young girls who have gone missing from a home in the Midlands early this morning.

Cousins Leah Giles, 12, and Brianna Savage, 8, were last seen around 1am on January 2.

It is believed the girls left a property in the Greenlands area of Redditch on their own accord. West Mercia Police say it's not believed anybody else is involved in their disappearance.

Leah is described as 5ft 3 inches, of mixed race, with long dark curly hair which is usually tied back.

Brianna is described as white with strawberry blonde hair, which is in plaits in a fishtail.

Inspector Lee Page said: “Officers and family are deeply concerned for both the girls’ safety and welfare and would ask the public to remain vigilant this morning and to please call 101 if you see either girl or have any information as to their whereabouts.”
