Police dealing with ongoing incident on Argyle Street

Emergency services are currently dealing with an ongoing incident in Glasgow's city centre.

Police have cordoned off James Watt Street at its junction with Argyle Street to deal with the incident.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man "covered in blood" on the street.

A pair of blood soaked shoes have been left on the scene but the victim appears to have been taken away in an ambulance.

Around five police cars, an ambulance and paramedic raced to the scene, close to the Traders bar, shortly before 1pm.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
