Glasgow Central Mosque on lockdown after body of man, 80, found

Scotland's biggest mosque was placed on lockdown this morning after an 80-year-old man's body was found.

Police were called to Glasgow Central Mosque at 3.40am on Thursday.

The entrance to the building was cordoned off.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said an elderly man's body had been discovered at the place of worship.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and inquiries are ongoing.
