Police cordon tape surrounds entrance to Chilwell GP practice

Managers at a GP practice have moved to clarify why a police cordon surrounds part of the building. The cordon has been outside the main entrance of Chilwell Meadows Surgery, in Ranson Road, for two weeks.

However, up until now, it wasn't clear why. A spokeswoman for the practice, which is run by the Chilwell Valley and Meadows Partnership, said it was to do with a problem with the front doors which have been blocked off.

She said the cordon was to "stop people trying to open them". "The tape was put up there I think it was the 8th of September. We are hoping to be able to use them again soon."
