An address in the Woodlands area of the city has been cordoned off following the sudden death of woman.
The body of a woman was discovered at a property on West Princes Street around 5.15pm on Tuesday.
Officers remained on the scene into Tuesday night with a cordon set up from West Princes Street to George Street.
A property within the cordon has been taped off and is being guarded by a police officer.
The street is currently closed to traffic as investigations are carried out by police.
The death is being treated as 'unexplained' and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating following the sudden death of a woman who was found dead within a property in West Princes Street, Glasgow, at around 5.15pm on Tuesday, 1 June.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. Officers remain at the scene."
