Police cordon off road in Nottingham after two-car crash

Police have cordoned off a road after a crash in Nottingham.

The collision took place on Sneinton Dale at around 6pm today, Friday, December 11.

Police say two cars were involved in the crash which closed the road for around an hour.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The vehicles have been recovered and the road is now back reopen. It reopened at around 7pm."

No injuries were reported.

An eyewitness told Nottinghamshire Live police had cordoned a section of the road off while they dealt with the incident.

Pictures taken from the scene show a car off the road near Bakersfield Community Centre.

It caused some disruption to public transport, as buses had to divert their route away from the scene.

A spokesperson for Nottingham City Transport said earlier: "Red 43 is not serving Sneinton Dale due to an RTC.

"Buses are diverting via Carlton Road and Cardale Road in both directions."
