Police cordon off Maryhill street after assault

A woman has been arrested after a man was assaulted in Maryhill.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Maryhill Road around 12.45pm on Monday afternoon.

The victim was taken to Glasgow's Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

The area surrounding the scene, near to the offices of Conservative MSP's Adam Tomkins and Annie Wells, has been cordoned off by officers.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 12:45pm police received a report of a man being assaulted on Maryhill Road, he was taken to the GRI. 

"A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
