Police cordon off house in Speke after boy suffers 'head injury'

Police cordoned off a house in Speke after a boy was taken to hospital with what is believed to be a head injury.

The ambulance service informed police that they had been called out a house on Belsford Way this afternoon  after a boy suffered a head injury.  The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police later put a cordon in place at the house.

A police spokesman said to the ECHO: "We can confirm that emergency services are in Speke following an incident this afternoon, Friday 12 July. 



"At 6pm, police were informed by the ambulance service of concerns for a boy who had been taken to hospital from an address in Belsford Way earlier in the afternoon having suffered a head injury. The boy is currently being assessed. 

"Officers remain on the scene carrying out enquiries and anyone with information is asked to contact @MerPolCC or call 101 with reference number 803. "
