Police cordon off Bristol Aldi as forensic team on scene

Police have cordoned off Henbury's Aldi supermarket after a break-in.

UPDATE: Man arrested after Aldi incident

Officers and a forensic team can be seen behind the tape around the Crow Lane site this morning (November 23).

An Avon and Somerset police spokeswoman said the force received reports of a break-in at about 9.50pm yesterday.

She added: "On arrival officers established that unknown offender(s) had forced entry to the premises and attempted to damage an ATM machine.

"The scene has been secured to facilitate a forensic investigation and enquiries are ongoing."

It is not yet known if any cash or items have been stolen from the store.

UPDATE: Man arrested after Aldi incident

"Anyone that witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 5220263663," the force spokeswoman said.
